Pacer W18-2ACLR-250 is a 250 foot length of 18 gauge, two-conductor speaker wire for home theater systems, stereo speakers and digital audio setups. Each conductor is made of tinned copper in fine strands, fully annealed to ASTM B-174, which keeps the cable flexible and easy to route. The clear PVC jacket is translucent, and one conductor is marked with a plus symbol so you can keep speaker polarity straight during hookup. Note that this wire is not intended or rated for installation inside walls.

When choosing a speaker wire gauge, Pacer suggests working out the length of the run first, adding a few spare feet so the wire is not pulled tight, and then weighing the power demands of your system. With both figures in hand you can confirm whether 18 AWG is right for the job. The wire is RoHS compliant under Directive 2002/95/EC.
