JL Audio XDM800/8 XDM Series 8 Channel Class D Amplifier, 800W, Bridgeable to 4 x 200W

Eight channels make the JL Audio XDM800/8 a fit for larger multi-speaker systems in boats or cars. Each channel supplies 75 watts RMS at 4 ohms or 100 watts RMS at 2 ohms, and channels can be bridged in pairs to deliver 200 watts RMS across four outputs at 4 ohms. That layout allows four pairs of speakers to run from a single amplifier.

Efficiency above 80 percent comes from JL Audio's NexD switching technology, which trims both current consumption and heat output. Differential-balanced inputs and a dual-mode input filter are there to suppress noise, and adjustments are made through variable filters and calibrated potentiometers protected by a sealed security cover. Should temperatures climb, rollback protection circuitry keeps the music going rather than letting the amp shut off. Installers can pick from auto signal sensing, auto DC-offset sensing or a hardwired 12-volt turn-on lead, and the corrosion-resistant housing is aluminum with a powder coat.
