Built-in Transflective RGB LED lighting is the defining feature of this JL Audio M6 10-inch marine subwoofer, using a patented design that spreads light evenly without bright patches or reflections. It wears a gloss white sport grille and trim ring, both of which can be removed for painting. As an infinite-baffle driver, it is intended to produce deep bass in open-air installations on a boat.

The woofer handles 250 watts RMS continuously, and JL Audio recommends 75 to 250 watts RMS of amplifier power. DMA modeling informs its motor, suspension and cone, aiming for lower distortion and cleaner transient response, and the injection-molded, mica-filled polypropylene cone is made for saltwater use. It exceeds international salt fog and UV exposure standards. The lighting runs on 10 to 14.4 VDC and connects through a flying lead with four-conductor 20 AWG wire.
